Product description

Food for special medical purposes in the form of gastro-resistant capsules, which contain 150 mg of sodium butyrate in the form of microgranules. Butyric acid is the basic energy material for the gastrointestinal epithelium.

Application

For the dietary management of: intestinal disorders (irritable bowel syndrome - IBS), disorders of the intestinal microflora, diarrhea after antibiotic therapy, intestinal infections and inflammatory diseases of the gastric mucosa, deficiencies of short-chain fatty acids, patients after anti-cancer treatment (m. e.g. in inflammation of the intestines after radiotherapy).

Recommended intake

Orally, 1 capsule twice a day, morning and evening. It is recommended to use for at least 3 months. Children over 7 years of age: 1 capsule a day, preferably in the evening. It is recommended to use for a period of at least 6 weeks.

Usage method

Swallow the capsule whole (without chewing or splashing its contents) with a drink of water. It is best to take it with a meal.

Ingredients

Sodium butyrate, bulking agent - microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, anti-caking agent - magnesium salts of fatty acids, capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, color - titanium dioxide).

100g contains:

- energy value 510kJ / 120kcal,

- 0g fat, including 0g saturated fatty acids,

- 30g carbohydrates, including 0g sugars,

- 0g protein, 16.4g salt, 150mg sodium butyrate, including 120mg butyric acid.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the product. Do not use in children with swallowing disorders or when swallowing capsules is difficult.

Important tips

The product is not intended for parenteral use.

The product is taken under medical supervision.

The product is intended for adults and children over 7 years of age.

The product cannot be used as the only source of nourishment.

May contain derivatives of: cereals containing gluten, soy, milk.
