Indications

Short-term symptomatic treatment of acute mild to moderate pain, e.g. acute muscle and joint pain, dysmenorrhea and toothache.

Composition

1 sachet of granules for oral solution contains: dexketoprofen 25 mg in the form of dexketoprofen trometamol salt and excipients: ammonium glycyrrhizinate, neohesperidine-dihydrochalcone, quinoline yellow (E 104), lemon flavor, sucrose with colloidal hydrated silica. Each sachet contains 2.5 g of sucrose.

Action

Anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic.

Dosage

- adults: the recommended dose is 1 sachet (25 mg) every 8 hours, at least 30 minutes before a meal. A total daily dose of more than 75 mg of dexketoprofen should not be used. Use orally. To prepare the solution, dissolve the contents of the sachet in a glass of water and mix well. Drink immediately after preparation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to dexketoprofen, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or any of the excipients; in patients in whom substances with a similar action (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs) trigger an attack of asthma, bronchospasm, acute rhinitis or cause nasal polyps, urticaria or angioedema; active or suspected gastric ulcer, or suspected bleeding, and recurrent stomach ulcer or bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding) or chronic indigestion; gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous NSAID therapy; gastrointestinal bleeding or other active bleeding or bleeding disorders; Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis; bronchial asthma; severe heart failure; moderate or severe renal failure (creatinine clearance <50ml / min); severe liver dysfunction; hemorrhagic diathesis and other blood coagulation disorders; III trimester of pregnancy and lactation period. Dexak should not be used in children and adolescents due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy.
