The preparation is used as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever in rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty, infectious, psoriatic and traumatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendovaginitis, radiculitis, thrombophlebitis, neuralgia, myalgia and other diseases accompanied by inflammation and pain syndrome.

The gel is applied 2-4 times a day to sore joints or other parts of the body with inflammation and pain, lightly rubbing into the skin.

The average daily dose is 10 g of gel, which corresponds to 100 mg of diclofenac sodium.

The preparation is usually well tolerated. Some patients may experience local skin irritation: itching, redness, burning, rash. If the gel is applied to large areas or when the recommended doses are exceeded, systemic side effects characteristic of diclofenac sodium and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations are possible: nausea, belching, unpleasant sensations in the epigastric area, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, which requires a reduction in the dose of the preparation.

The preparation is contraindicated in erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, bronchial asthma, hematopoietic disorders, individual intolerance to diclofenac sodium, during pregnancy and lactation in women, children under 6 years of age.

It is prescribed with caution to patients with a history of allergic reactions to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations.

Interactions with other medicinal products during dermal application of diclofenac sodium have not been established. However, it must be taken into account that diclofenac sodium can potentiate specific effects, including the ulcerogenic effect of corticosteroids, increase the concentration of digoxin and lithium in the blood, weaken the effect of diuretics and saluretics of the thiazide and furosemide groups. Therapeutic effectiveness when used with salicylates decreases, while the ulcerogenic effect on the gastric mucosa increases. When used simultaneously with anticoagulants, the condition of the blood coagulation system should be monitored.

The preparation should be applied only to intact areas of the skin, avoiding contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. The use of the gel can be combined with taking sodium diclofenac in tablets, and the daily dose of the latter should not exceed 75 mg.

Store in a cool place, protected from light and inaccessible to children. Shelf life - 2 hours.
