Diosminex Max

is a preparation containing micronized diosmin. The medicinal product Diosminex Max increases the tone of the veins and protects the vessels. It reduces the permeability of small blood vessels and reduces the susceptibility to their rupture. It stimulates lymphatic drainage and lymph flow.

Diosminex Max 1000mg is used to treat:

Symptoms associated with chronic insufficiency of the venous and lymphatic circulation:

feeling of heaviness in the legs,
legs pain,
night leg cramps;
Symptomatic treatment in case of exacerbation of symptoms associated with haemorrhoids.

Composition

1 tablet contains:

active ingredient: 1000 mg of micronized diosmin,
tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate,
coating: polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 3350, talc, quinoline yellow lake (E 104), indigo carmine aluminum lake (E132), sunset yellow lake (E110), black iron oxide (E172).

Action

Diosminex Max helps in the treatment of symptoms related to the insufficiency of the venous and lymphatic circulation:

increases the tone of venous vessels and protects the vessels; increases lymphatic drainage,
affects microcirculation, reducing the permeability of small blood vessels, perivascular inflammation, microcirculation stagnation,
it also reduces the susceptibility of small blood vessels to rupture.

Dosage

Treatment of symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency: 1 tablet daily with a meal.
Treatment of the exacerbation of ailments related to haemorrhoids: 3 tablets a day for 4 days, and then 2 tablets a day for the next 3 days.
Do not use more than the recommended dose.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diosmin or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.

Storage

Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature below 25 ° C.

Side effects

Possible side effects after taking Diosminex Max:

Rare (more than 1 in 10,000 people but less than 1 in 1,000 people):

diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting,
dizziness, headache, malaise,
rash, itching, hives.

interactions

Diosmin may increase blood levels and decrease the excretion of metronidazole (a preparation  with antibacterial and antiprotozoal properties) and diclofenac (an analgesic and anti-inflammatory preparation).

Warnings and Precautions

If you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking the preparation.
As sunset yellow lake is found in the preparation shell, the preparation may cause allergic reactions in people allergic to azo dyes.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
In the case of mild gastrointestinal side effects and neurovegetative disorders (e.g. increased anxiety, increased heart rate, excessive sweating, anxiety), preparation discontinuation is not required.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
