DR. KADE PHARMACEUTICAL FACTORY GMBH

The successful market presence of DR. KADE since 1886 is a demonstration of the achievement potential for an independent, familyowned company, especially in the highly innovative and competitive pharmaceutical industry which nowadays is dominated by large multinationals operating on a global scale.

Experience to rely on: the success of DR. KADE began in 1886 in a pharmacy at the Oranienplatz in Berlin. Since then we have developed from a supplier to the imperial court into an internationally active pharmaceutical manufacturer – find out more about that in our interactive history.

In 1886, Dr. Franz Lutze purchased the Oranien pharmacy of the Berlin pharmacist Dr. Rudolph Kade. He retained the name of the founder – and thereby laid the cornerstone for the further history of the company. From the former pharmacy, which soon also provided drugs and bandages for the imperial yacht “Hohenzollern”, the company increasingly developed into a “pharmaceutical factory” over the following years.
In 2011 DR. KADE celebrated its 125th anniversary – and looks back to a long history: twelve and a half decades, in which the company has continually grown and helped to provide patients a better quality of life.
