Pharmacological properties 

Pharmacodynamics. When used internally, it has a detoxifying effect. The preparation effectively adsorbs medium-molecular toxic substances, products of incomplete metabolism, from the contents of the intestine and blood (through the capillary membranes of the villi of the intestinal mucosa), promotes the elimination of incorporated radionuclides. Enterosgel ExtraCaps eliminates the manifestations of toxicosis, improves the function of the intestines, liver, kidneys, and normalizes blood and urine parameters. As an effective detoxifier Enterosgel ExtraCaps enhances immunity.

Pharmacokinetics. The preparation envelops the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, protects it from erosive processes. Not absorbed in the intestines.

Indications

As part of complex detoxification therapy for chronic renal failure caused by pyelonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, nephrolithiasis; with toxic hepatitis, viral hepatitis a and b, hepatocholecystitis, liver cirrhosis and cholestasis of various etiologies, gastritis with low acidity, enterocolitis, colitis, diarrhea; in case of poisoning with alcohol and preparations; allergic reactions, skin diseases (diathesis, neurodermatitis), with burn intoxication; purulent-septic processes, which are accompanied by intoxication; toxicosis of pregnant women in the first half of pregnancy; in the complex therapy of intestinal dysbiosis.

Application

Applied in 1-2 capsules 2-3 times a day, 1.5-2 hours before or 2 hours after meals or medicines, drinking plenty of water.

For adults and children over the age of 14, a single dose is 1-2 capsules, a daily dose is 6 capsules.

For children aged 6-14 years, a single dose - 1 capsule, daily - 3 capsules.

The course of treatment is from 7 to 14 days.

In severe forms of the disease, a double single dose is used during the first 3 days, and in the chronic course of the disease (chronic renal failure, liver cirrhosis), a longer use of the preparation is possible.

Contraindications

Acute intestinal obstruction. hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Side effects

When taking the preparation, dyspeptic symptoms are possible. in the first days of taking the preparation, constipation may develop. to prevent it for people prone to constipation, in the first 2 days of taking the preparation, a cleansing enema at night or the use of laxatives (lactulose, sodium picosulfate) is recommended. hypersensitivity reactions are possible.

Special instructions

Provided that the method of application is observed (enterosgel and preparations are taken at intervals of 1.5–2 hours), the preparation can be used in complex therapy with other preparations and prophylactic agents, including prebiotics and probiotics (bifidum-, lactobacilli), phytopreparations, adaptogens, immunomodulators.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. The preparation can be used during pregnancy and lactation. The use of pregnant women who are prone to constipation should be limited.

The preparation can be used in children from 6 years of age. To facilitate swallowing, you can first open the capsule (single dose) and mix it with a small amount of liquid before use.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms. Does not affect.

Interactions

Enterosgel ExtraCaps. Subject to the method of application (Enterosgel ExtraCaps and preparations are taken separately), the preparation can be used in complex therapy with other preparations and prophylactic agents, including bacterial preparations (bifidum-, lactobacilli), phytopreparations, adaptogens, immunomodulators. Concomitant use with preparations of the bile acid sequestrant class, such as cholestyramine, is not recommended due to the increased likelihood of constipation.

The preparation should not be used concurrently with silver preparations.

Overdose

Cases of preparation overdose have not been described. overdose may increase side effects.
