Description
Essentiale N forte is a hepatoprotector used in liver diseases: non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, alcoholic steatohepatitis, acute and chronic hepatitis of various etiologies, liver cirrhosis, pre- and post-operative treatment during surgery on the liver and biliary tract, psoriasis and others.
In diseases of the liver, its cells are always subject to damage, which can lead to a violation of metabolic function and a decrease in the intensity of recovery processes.
The phospholipids contained in the preparation are chemically similar to the phospholipids of our body, but have a much higher content of polyunsaturated (essential) fatty acids. They are mainly incorporated into the structures of cell membranes and facilitate the recovery of damaged liver tissues.
Indications for use
- non-alcoholic steatohepatitis,
- alcoholic steatohepatitis,
- acute and chronic hepatitis of various etiologies,
- cirrhosis,
- pre- and postoperative treatment during surgery on the liver and biliary tract,
- psoriasis,
- radiation syndrome.
Contraindication
Increased sensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Advantages
Phospholipids implement a hepatoprotective function, that is, they fight the symptoms associated with liver diseases. Contribute to the recovery of liver cells.
Phospholipids in the hepatoprotective agent have a multifaceted effect:
- They eliminate damage and restore the membranes of liver cells.
- They are incorporated into the phospholipid structure of the membranes of damaged liver cells and facilitate the recovery of damaged tissues.
- Contribute to the normalization of liver function.
- They have an antioxidant effect.
- They have an antifibrotic effect.
Method of application and dosage
The initial dose for adults and children over 12 years old is 2 capsules 3 times a day, the maintenance dose is 1 capsule 3 times a day.
Capsules are used during meals, without chewing, with a small amount of water.
The recommended course of treatment is at least 3 months.
Psoriasis treatment begins with taking 2 capsules of Essentiale ® forte H 3 times a day for 2 weeks. After that, 10 intravenous injections of 5 ml are recommended with the simultaneous appointment of PUVA therapy.
After the end of the course of injections, the reception of capsules is resumed and the use of the preparation is continued for 2 months.
Children
The preparation is intended for use in children over 12 years of age, whose body weight is 43 kg or more.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Due to the limited amount of clinical research data on the use of the preparation in pregnant women, the use of the preparation is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Composition
Active substance in 1 capsule: "essential phospholipids" ® = EPL ® substance (phospholipids from soybeans ((3-sn-phosphatidyl) choline), which contain all-rac-atocopherol) - 300 mg.
Excipients: solid fat, refined soybean oil, hydrogenated castor oil, ethanol 96%, ethyl vanillin, 4-methoxyacetophenone
Empty capsule: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron oxide yellow (E 172), iron oxide black (E 172), iron oxide red (E 172), sodium lauryl sulfate.
Storage conditions
Keep out of the reach of children. Store in a dry place at a temperature not higher than 21 °C.
