Product description

Flavamed is a mucus-thinning preparation used in respiratory diseases.

Dosage

Orally. Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 1/2 tablet 2 to 3 times a day. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age during the first 2-3 days, 1 tablet 3 times a day. Then 1 tablet 2 times a day. In adults, the dose may be increased to 2 tablets twice a day. It is best to swallow the preparation whole after a meal, with a sufficient amount of liquid (eg water, tea or fruit juice. The tablet can be divided into halves. Do not take the preparation for more than 4-5 days without consulting a doctor. do not decrease or even worsen, ask your doctor or pharmacist Read the properties of the preparation described in the leaflet before using it Before using the preparation, check the expiry date on the packaging (label) Do not use the preparation after the expiry date. Store the preparation in a tightly closed container, out of the reach and sight of children, in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.

Composition

• The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride.
• One tablet contains 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
• The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, cellulose (powder),
• croscarmellose sodium, povidone K 30, magnesium stearate.

Action

Thanks to the use of Flavamed, the thick mucus becomes more watery and it can be coughed up more easily.

Indications

Flavamed is used in lung and bronchial diseases with the production of thick mucus.

Contraindications

- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance of Flavamed (ambroxol hydrochloride) or any of the other ingredients of Flavamed.

- in children under 6 years of age.

Side effects

Gastrointestinal Disorders:

Uncommon: Nausea, stomach pain, vomiting

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders:

Very rare: Severe skin reactions such as Lyell's syndrome and Stevens-Johnson syndrome

General disorders and administration site conditions:

Uncommon: Hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash, face swelling, respiratory distress, itching, fever

Very rare: Severe allergic (anaphylactic) reactions including shock anaphylactic

Use of other medications

Please tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking or have recently taken, including those obtained without a prescription.

Cough suppressants (antitussives)

While taking Flavamed, do not use any preparations that inhibit the cough reflex (so-called antitussive preparations). The cough reflex is important for the expectoration of the liquefied mucus and thus removal of it from the lungs.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation

Flavamed can be used only if the doctor explicitly recommends this medicine!

There is no experience with the use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, it has been observed that in animals the active substance contained in Flavamed passes into breast milk

Use of the preparation in children and adolescents

The preparation is not intended for children under 6 years of age.
