The preparation  in the form of effervescent tablets.

Dosage

Adults: 1 Fluimucil tablet (600 mg) once a day

Usage method

Dissolve the tablet in half a glass of lukewarm water. The resulting solution is ready to drink. The solution should be drunk immediately after preparation. You should drink more fluids during treatment.

Treatment of acute conditions should not exceed 5 days; in chronic conditions, treatment may be continued for 3 to 6 months under medical supervision.

If after 5 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, you should see your doctor.

Composition

Active substance: 1 effervescent tablet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine.

Excipients: citric acid anhydrous, sodium bicarbonate, aspartame, lemon flavor.

Action

Acetylcysteine, the active substance of Fluimucil Forte, liquefies the mucus and mucopurulent secretion by breaking the disulfide bonds in the mucus polypeptides in the respiratory tract.

Fluimucil Forte is used for a short time as a medicine to thin the secretion of the respiratory tract and facilitate its expectoration in patients with symptoms of infection associated with a cold.

Contraindications

if you are allergic to acetylcysteine ​​or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;

in an asthmatic state;

if you have phenylketonuria;

in children under 2 years of age, as the active substance: acetylcysteine ​​may cause airway obstruction in children under 2 years of age;

Side effects

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 patients): hypersensitivity, headache, tinnitus, tachycardia (increased heart rate), vomiting, diarrhea, stomatitis, abdominal pain, nausea, hives, rash, angioedema (swelling of the skin) and mucous membranes, which most often affects the face, throat, larynx, genitals, intestines), itching, fever, lowering blood pressure.

Rare (less than 1 in 1,000 patients): bronchospasm, dyspnoea, indigestion.

Very rare (less than 1 in 10,000 patients): severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, anaphylactic reaction, anaphylactoid reaction), haemorrhage.

Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): face swelling.

In case of side effects, stop taking the preparation and contact your doctor.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Fluimucil Forte may be administered only when absolutely necessary and under close medical supervision. There are no data on the transfer of Fluimucil Forte into breast milk.
