Generolone (50 mg/ml), solution for skin application, is indicated for the treatment of male pattern alopecia in men and women aged 18 to 65 years.

Active ingredient: minoxidil;

1 ml minoxidil 50 mg;

excipients: ethanol 96%, propylene glycol, purified water.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation pheochromocytoma, treated and untreated hypertension diseases of the scalp (including psoriasis and sunburn); shaved scalp; simultaneous use of occlusive dressings or other topical preparations on the scalp. Generolon (50 mg/ml), dermal solution, is contraindicated in women.

Women during pregnancy and lactation should not use the preparation.

In connection with the possible development of dizziness or a decrease in blood pressure, care should be taken when driving vehicles or operating other mechanisms. If the described side effects appear, you should refrain from performing these activities.

Accidental or intentional overdose of Generolone, solution for skin application, will lead to an increase in the intensity of adverse dermatological reactions, especially itching, dry skin, irritation. Increased systemic absorption of minoxidil is possible when applied to large areas of the body or to areas other than the scalp at doses higher than those recommended. Accidental ingestion of the solution into the digestive tract can cause systemic effects due to the vasodilating effect of minoxidil (5 ml of Generolone 2% contains 100 mg of minoxidil, which is the maximum recommended dose in the treatment of hypertension. 2 ml of Generolone 5% contains 100 mg of minoxidil, which is the maximum recommended dose in the treatment of hypertension).< >Symptoms of minoxidil overdose are primarily cardiovascular disorders associated with sodium and fluid retention. Tachycardia, arterial hypotension, dizziness and drowsiness may also occur.

Treatment.

Treatment of minoxidil overdose should be symptomatic and supportive. < >Beta-blockers are prescribed for tachycardia. Diuretics to correct fluid retention.

From the skin and subcutaneous tissue. Often - hypertrichosis (unwanted hair growth on areas of the scalp, including facial hair growth in women), itching (including generalized itchy rash and itchy eyes), rash (including pustular, papular, generalized, vestibular and macular rash), dermatitis (including contact at the site of application, allergic, atopic, seborrheic).

Generolon should not be used concomitantly with other topical preparations on the scalp.

Simultaneous use of the preparation Generolon and other topical preparations containing corticosteroids, tretionin, dithranol or white soft paraffin and changing the protective functions of the skin, may enhance the absorption of minoxidil.

It is possible to increase orthostatic hypotension with the absorption of minoxidil in patients taking peripheral vasodilators, although this has not been clinically confirmed.
