The hydrogel dressing is intended for the treatment of deep wounds with dry and fluid necrosis. It hydrates dead tissues and stimulates autolysis mechanisms in the wound, which leads to cleansing of necrosis. GranuGEL together with Granuflex stimulates the activity of macrophages, which stimulates the granulation process.

for the treatment of wounds with incomplete or full-thickness skin, such as leg ulcers and pressure ulcers. The gel creates a moist environment conducive to the healing processes, which supports the autolysis of necrotic tissues.

wash the wound thoroughly with distilled water, saline solution or other routine agents. Dry the healthy skin around the wound. Unscrew the tube cap and remove the white locking ring. Use the cap to pierce the membrane closing the opening of the tube. The preparation should be inserted directly into the wound. Do not fill the wound cavity above the level of the surrounding skin. An optimal environment to promote wound healing can be achieved by covering the wound with a moisture-retaining dressing. GranuGel should be changed when the dressing begins to leak or during routine dressing changes. The gel is removed with physiological saline. However, it is recommended to change the preparation at least every three days in moist necrotic wounds and every seven days in clean granulation wounds.

Do not use in patients sensitive to the gel or one of its ingredients.

Treatment of diabetic ulcers should include blood glucose testing and decompression of pressure points.

Due to the moist environment created by the dressing favoring removal of necrotic tissue, the wound may appear larger during the first few dressing changes.
