Product description

Hascosept 1.5 mg / g is a liquid medicinal product for use in the treatment of symptoms associated with inflammation of the mouth and throat such as pain, redness, aphthae or swelling. An indication for the use of Hascosept solution are also bacterial and viral infections in conditions after surgical procedures in ENT and dentistry. The active substance is benzydamine hydrochloride, which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. When applied topically, it has an anesthetic and disinfecting effect.
Hascosept Mouthwash has a mint flavor. A measuring cup is attached to the packaging of the product.

Indications

Treatment of symptoms (pain, redness, swelling, aphthae) associated with the inflammation of the mouth and throat in bacterial and viral infections, in conditions after surgery in ENT and dentistry.

Composition

100 g of the solution contains:
  • active substance: benzydamine hydrochloride (Benzydamini hydrochloridum) 0.15 g,
  • excipients: patent blue (E 131), quinoline yellow (E 104), mint flavor, glycerol, ethanol 96%, saccharin, sodium bicarbonate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, polysorbate 20, purified water.

Action

Anti-inflammatory, analgesic, local anesthetic and disinfectant.

Dosage

Rinse the mouth and throat 2 to 3 times a day with 15 ml of undiluted or diluted solution with a little water.
Do not use more than the recommended dose.
If you have any doubts regarding the use of the preparation, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications

Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

Storage

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the carton.
Store in closed, original packaging, in temperature below 25˚C.
Shelf life after first opening: 12 months.

Side effects

Local side effects are usually transient, self-limiting and rarely require additional treatment. Benzydamine applied topically is absorbed to the circulation in small amounts, therefore general side effects are very rare. Diluting the preparation usually clears these symptoms.
Very rare side effects (may affect less than 1 in 10,000; frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):
general disorders and administration site conditions: burning sensation of the oral mucosa,
gastrointestinal disorders: dry mouth, nausea and vomiting,
disorders of the immune system: allergic reaction (hypersensitivity), hypersensitivity reactions,
nervous system disorders: sensory disturbance, numbness, dizziness, headache,
skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: rash.
Severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) with symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, chest pain or tightness, and / or dizziness / fainting, severe itching of the skin or protruding lumps on the skin, clinking of the face, lips, tongue and ( or) throat and which may be potentially life-threatening.

Interactions

Hascosept has no known interactions with other medicines. Please tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking recently, including those sold without a prescription.

Warnings and Precautions

The use of topical medications, especially long-term use, may cause an allergic reaction. If this happens, stop taking Hascosept and see your doctor.
The preparation contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol) - less than 100 mg per dose. Due to the content of methyl parahydroxybenzoate, the preparation may cause allergic reactions (possible late-type reactions)

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
The preparation  should be used with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving and operating machinery
There are no studies on the effects of the preparation on the ability to drive and use machines
