Indications:

Hascovir control 200 mg is a preparation indicated for the treatment of recurrent cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus. Also suitable for the treatment of the Herpes varicella-zoster virus (treatment of chickenpox, shingles). Addressed only to adults.

Properties:

Hascovir control as an active substance contains acyclovir in a dose of 200 mg in one tablet. It inhibits the multiplication of viruses from the Herpes group that are pathogenic for humans. Hence, Hascovir Control has antiviral activity and is ideal for fighting the herpes virus types 1 and 2 (HSV), which causes infections of the skin and mucous membranes. The preparation can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with a herpes simplex infection in the past.

Composition:

• active ingredient: acyclovir
• One tablet contains 200 mg of aciclovir.
• other ingredients (excipients): lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), potato starch, magnesium stearate

Use:

Hascovir control should be administered orally at a dose of 200 mg five times a day, every 4 hours (with a night break), for 5 days.

In the case of recurrent infections, it is especially important to start treatment in the period preceding the appearance of the prodrugs, i.e. itching, burning, feeling tense or just after the first lesions appear.

Important information:

Hascovir control is contraindicated if the patient is allergic to aciclovir, valaciclovir or any of the other ingredients of this preparation.

Hascovir control should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
