L-selenomethionine: highly digestible, organic form of selenium contained in Hashima Forte preparation shows better bioavailability in relation to the inorganic form of selenium. Selenium activates glutathione peroxidase, which protects thyroid cells from oxidative stress. Low selenium levels are associated with a deterioration of the immune response.
