Hawthorn tincture is a remedy used in cardiology.

Indications for use

Functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonias); as an auxiliary preparation in mild forms of heart rhythm disorders (fibrillar arrhythmia, paroxysmal tachycardia).

Storage

active substance: tincture of hawthorn fruits;

1 ml of the preparation contains tincture of hawthorn fruits (Crataegi fructus) (1:10) (extractant - ethanol 70%).

Contraindication

Individual intolerance to the components of the preparation. Pronounced arterial hypotension and bradycardia.

Adverse reactions

Drowsiness, a significant slowing of the heart rate, allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling) are rarely observed.

Special security measures.

The preparation is not recommended to be taken during meals to avoid interaction with food components.

The medicinal product is a conventional herbal medicinal product for use according to indications confirmed by long-term use.

Application method

Use internally with food. Adults are recommended to use 20 drops of the tincture 3 times a day, children from 12 years old - at the rate of one drop per 1 year of life 3 times a day until a stable therapeutic effect is achieved. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

The patient should consult a doctor if the symptoms of the disease have not disappeared during the use of the preparation or side reactions are observed that are not indicated in the instructions for the medical use of the preparation.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Contraindicated.

Children

The preparation is contraindicated for children under 12 years of age.

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The preparation can cause drowsiness, therefore, during use, you should refrain from driving vehicles and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Overdose

Symptoms: decrease in blood pressure, drowsiness, bradycardia.

Treatment: discontinuation of the preparation and symptomatic therapy.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

The preparation enhances the effect of cardiac glycosides and antiarrhythmic agents. Use with alkaloid salts is not recommended due to the possibility of formation of negative complexes. The preparation should not be used together with cisapride. May increase the effect of sleeping pills, sedatives and hypotensive agents.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not higher than 25 ºС in a place inaccessible to children.
