IBEROGAST COMBINED PREPARATION, ORAL FLUID

The preparation is indicated for stomach and intestinal cramps, irritable bowel syndrome, gastric irritation, inflammation of the gastric mucosa.

Composition:

100 ml of the liquid contains: 15 ml of bitter dressing herb extract, 10 ml of angelica root extract, 20 ml of chamomile flower extract, 10 ml of caraway fruit extract, 10 ml of milk thistle extract, 10 ml of lemon balm leaf extract, 5 ml of peppermint leaf extract, 10 ml of celandine herb extract, 10 ml of licorice root extract.

Action:

The preparation has a two-way effect on the gastrointestinal tract: the bitter clothing extract increases the tension of the smooth muscles of the stomach and intestines in unstimulated or weakly stimulated sections of the gastrointestinal tract, thus relieving the feeling of fullness and flatulence, while other plant extracts relax in excessively stimulated sections of the stomach and intestines . In addition, the preparation is carminative, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and inhibits the secretion of gastric juice.

Dosage:

Orally. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 20 drops 3 times a day; children 6-12 years: 15 drops 3 times a day. The liquid should be diluted with a little water, taken before or during a meal.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the preparation. Children under 6 years old.

Due to the alcohol content, the preparation should not be used in patients with alcoholism in pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Side effects:

Very rare: hypersensitivity reactions (rash, itching, dyspnoea).

Comments:

A single dose for adults (20 drops of liquid) contains 24 mg of ethanol.
