Indications

Treatment of pain and swelling due to stress injuries, joint injuries with torn ligaments (joint sprains), sports injuries. Only after consulting a doctor, it can also be used to treat: rheumatic pains, including joint pain caused by inflammatory and degenerative changes; back pain, lumbago, muscle pain, pain in fibrous tissue, tendons and ligaments.

Composition

1 gram of gel contains: active substances: 50 mg ibuprofen, 30 mg levomenthol and excipients: ethanol 96%, carbomer 980, propylene glycol, diisopropanolamine 85%, purified water.

Action

Analgesic, anti-inflammatory. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations (NSAIDs) that reduce inflammation in the affected area, relieve pain and reduce swelling. Levomenthol has a local anesthetic effect, it also causes local tissue hyperemia. The combined action of both ingredients means that after applying the gel to the skin, pain is relieved very quickly, lasting for several hours.

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years of age: apply the gel to the painful areas and massage gently until the preparation is absorbed. Use 1 to 4 cm of gel at one time. Repeat if necessary, up to a maximum of 3 times a day. Do not use more often than every 4 hours. The gel application sites should not be covered with dressings such as bandages or plasters. The maximum duration of treatment is 2 weeks.

Contraindications

Allergic to ibuprofen, levomenthol, or any of the ingredients of the preparation; asthma with attacks of breathlessness, rash, rhinitis after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations; kidney disease, active peptic ulcer disease. The gel should not be applied to mucous membranes, damaged or inflamed skin, or around the eyes. It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Ibument should be used with caution in pregnant women due to the possibility of delaying the spontaneous labor and prolonging the duration of labor. Ibument should be used with caution in women while breastfeeding.
