Lactulose stimulates the growth of beneficial microflora (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bifidus), inulin (from chicory extract) is a bifidostimulant, and also helps to weaken the inflammatory process in the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines.
