Scientifically proven ingredient properties

Collagen type II (undenatured) forms the basis of cartilage and is important for the formation of connective tissue. Once in the intestine, it interacts with Peyer's patches, which are in the intestine where the immune response is induced through the activation of T cells that are capable of releasing anti-inflammatory cytokines, preventing the attack of T cells on type II collagen in the joints, thus reducing pain and inflammation. Also, the desensitization process in Peyer's patches, known as oral tolerance, prevents the immune system from recognizing endogenous type II cartilage collagen as an antigen. Given this mechanism of action, undenatured type II collagen may be effective in restoring and maintaining joint function in the presence of signs of degradation, improving joint mobility and flexibility, reducing discomfort and restoring joint function in healthy individuals.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is 34% bioavailable sulfur. Since the basis of the connective tissue structure is sulfur, MSM is effective in conditions with degeneration of the articular cartilage. It has antioxidant properties, is able to inhibit the synthesis of prostacyclins (PGI2). The main component of MSM, sulfur plays an important role in the synthesis of cartilage collagen and glucosamine, vital for healthy bones and joints.

Boswellia Serrata is a tree native to the highlands of India.
