Pharmacist action

Pharmacodynamics. Synthetic broad-spectrum antifungal agent. The preparation is active against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton), Pityrosporum orbicular and P. oval, yeast of the Candida family and moldy fungi, pathogens of systemic mycoses. The preparation has an antibacterial effect against gram-positive microorganisms.

Pharmacokinetics. The absorption of fenticonazole nitrate in the vagina and after application to the skin is insignificant and is confirmed by studies of the preparation level in the blood plasma during and at the end of the course of treatment. Bioavailability is in direct proportion to the size of the dose.

Indications

Dosage

Capsules

Capsules 200 mg

The capsule is injected intravaginally (deep into the vagina) in the supine position before going to bed once. The course of treatment is 3 days.

Capsules 600 mg

The capsule is injected intravaginally (deep into the vagina) in the supine position before going to bed once. If symptoms persist, another capsule can be administered after 3 days.

Do not stop treatment during your period. In order to avoid re-infection, it is recommended that the partner at the same time use the preparation Lomexin cream (apply to the penis and foreskin).

Capsules 1000 mg:

One capsule is injected deeply intravaginally in a horizontal position at bedtime, once. In the case of Trichomonas infection or infection of Trichomonas-candidiasis etiology, if necessary, 1 capsule of 1000 mg is administered again every other day. In the treatment of candidal infection, if the manifestations of the disease persist, the administration of 1 capsule of 1000 mg is repeated after 3 days.

Cream.

Lomexin should be used 1-2 times a day (depending on the severity of the disease), after washing and drying the affected area. The cream is applied by lightly rubbing or lubricating the affected area, preferably at night. If necessary, the cream can be applied in the morning. The course of treatment depends on the type of microorganism and the size of the affected area.

Special instructions
