Product description

Maalox® is a combined antacid preparation for the treatment of heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults and children over 15 years of age.

The preparation is a well-balanced combination of hydrated aluminum oxide and magnesium hydroxide, protects the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Magnesium and aluminum hydroxides are antacids that neutralize excess hydrochloric acid, which is part of gastric juice, thereby reducing the burning sensation in the stomach.

Indications for use

Treatment of heartburn and acid reflux in adults and children over 15 years of age.

Contraindications

Severe forms of renal failure (since this preparation contains magnesium), hypersensitivity, sensitivity to the components of the preparation. Alzheimer's disease, recurrent constipation, chronic diarrhea, severe abdominal pain of unspecified origin, hypophosphatemia.

Method of administration and dosage

Use for the treatment of adults and children over 15 years of age. Method of administration - oral. Take 15 ml (1 sachet) if you experience heartburn or acid reflux. Before use, the suspension must be made homogeneous by gently kneading the bag.

The suspension is taken without dilution. The contents of the bag are poured into a spoon or directly into the mouth.

Do not use more than 6 bags per day.

The duration of the course of treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed 10 days.

Children

There is no experience of using the preparation in children under 15 years of age.

Application during pregnancy or lactation

Pregnancy. You should not take Maalox® for a long time and in large doses.

Lactation. The use of combined preparations containing aluminum and magnesium salts is allowed, since the systemic circulation of aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide is limited. Women can breastfeed during treatment.

Structure

Active ingredients: aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide; 15 ml of suspension contains 525 mg aluminum hydroxide, 600 mg magnesium hydroxide.

Excipients: concentrated hydrochloric acid (E 507); citric acid, monohydrate (E 330); peppermint oil; beckons (E 421); methylparaben (E 218); propylparaben (E 216); sodium saccharin (E 954); sorbitol non-crystallizing solution (E 420); hydrogen peroxide solution (30%); purified water.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children. Do not freeze.
