Product description

Marshmallow syrup for children over 12 years of age and adults is a traditional medicinal product that is used to relieve irritation of the mucosa of the upper respiratory tract accompanied by coughing. The main ingredient of marshmallow syrup is marshmallow root macerate.

Indications

Alleviating irritation of the mucosa of the upper respiratory tract accompanied by coughing.

Composition

100 g of syrup contain

active substance: marshmallow root macerate (Althaea officinalis L., radix) 35.9 g, (equivalent to 5 g marshmallow root), extractant: a mixture of water and ethanol (47: 1), benzoic acid,

excipients: benzoic acid 0.1 g, sucrose 64.0 g.

The ethanol content (760 g / l) in the product is not more than 1.1% (m / v),

Action

The action of the syrup is based on the mucus compounds present in the marshmallow root, which have coating, soothing and protective properties.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: orally 3 times a day for 15 ml.

Contraindications

Do not use the preparation in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

Do not use in people with bronchial asthma.

Use with caution in diabetics.

Due to the alcohol content, administration to patients with liver disease is not recommended.

Storage

Keep out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C. Protect from light.
