Surgery, traumatology, combustiology. For preventive and therapeutic purposes, the surface of wounds and burns is irrigated with Miramistin, the wound and fistula are loosely tamped, and gauze swabs moistened with an antiseptic are fixed. The treatment procedure is repeated 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days. The method of active drainage of wounds and cavities with a daily consumption of about 1 liter of the drug is effective.

Obstetrics and gynecology. In order to prevent postpartum infection, it is used in the form of vaginal irrigation before childbirth (5-7 days) and in the form of intravaginal tampons soaked in 50 ml of the drug, after childbirth with an exposure of 2 hours for 5 days.

Treatment of inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs is carried out by intravaginal introduction of tampons with the drug for 2 weeks, treatment of the skin of the external genital organs, as well as electrophoresis of the drug.

Dermatology. Treatment of candidomycosis of the skin and mucous membranes, mycosis of the feet and large folds is carried out by irrigation with a spray nozzle, 3-4 times pressing or applications 2-4 times a day.

Venereology. For individual prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, miramistin is effective if it is used no later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse. The contents of the bottle are injected into the urethra with the help of a urethral nozzle - 2-3 ml (men), 1-2 ml (women), 5-10 ml into the vagina for 2-3 minutes. After the procedure, it is not recommended to empty the bladder within 2 hours. The skin of the inner surface of the thighs, pubis, and external genitalia is treated.

Otorhinolaryngology. With purulent sinusitis, during puncture, the maxillary sinus is washed with 10 ml of the drug. In the treatment of tonsillitis and laryngitis, repeated gargling with miramistin solution is performed. In case of otitis media, a tampon moistened with the drug is inserted into the external auditory canal 4-6 times a day for 10-14 days.

Dentistry. In the treatment of periodontitis, miramistin solution is injected into the periodontal pockets on the turunds with subsequent applications on the gums for 15 minutes. During exacerbations, periodontal pockets are washed with Miramistin using a syringe and turunda with the drug is injected into the abscess cavity. After vestibuloplasty and frenulectomy, the drug is used in the form of baths in outpatient settings. Individual hypersensitivity to miramistin.

Venereology. when treating the urethra, vagina, inner surfaces of the thighs, pubis and external genitalia with miramistin, it is not recommended to urinate for 2 hours.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Since resorption of the drug is almost completely absent, it is allowed to use Miramistin during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Children. Since there is no sufficient experience in the use of miramistin solution for the treatment of children, it is not used in pediatric practice.

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving a motor vehicle or working with other mechanisms. The use of the drug is characterized by the absence of an effect on the ability to drive vehicles or engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and quick reaction.
