Product description

Soft capsules Motiligas are used for the symptomatic treatment of bloating (flatulence).

Structure

Active ingredient: simethicone (one soft capsule contains 120 mg of simethicone).

Excipients: gelatin, glycerin, purified water.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients;
• complete intestinal obstruction;
• obstructive diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Mode of application

For oral administration.

Adults: the recommended dose is no more than 4 capsules per day.

Take one capsule after each main meal with a glass of water.

The duration of treatment is no more than 10 days.

Application features

Pregnant

There are no data on the use of simethicone in pregnant women. There are insufficient data on the reproductive toxicity of the preparation obtained from animal studies. Although simethicone is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is physiologically inactive, Motiligas should be prescribed during pregnancy only when, in the opinion of the doctor, the expected positive effect for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Simethicone is not excreted in breast milk.

Children

Motiligas is not recommended for use in children due to the lack of relevant information.

Drivers

The preparation does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms.

Overdose

Not a single case of overdose has been reported. In case of using doses higher than recommended, you should consult a doctor.

Side effects

The frequency of occurrence of adverse reactions is determined as follows: very often - ≥ 1/10; often - from ≥ 1/100 to <1/10; infrequently - from ≥ 1/1000 to <1/100; rare - from ≥ 1/10000 to <1/1000; very rare - <1/10 000, frequency unknown: based on the available data, the frequency cannot be estimated.

Immune system disorders: frequency unknown - hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face or tongue, shortness of breath.

From the gastrointestinal tract: the frequency is unknown - nausea, vomiting, constipation.

Interaction

Levothyroxine can bind to simethicone. The absorption of levothyroxine in the intestine can be impaired when taken simultaneously with simethicone. Interaction studies with other preparations have not been conducted.
