Product description

Mydocalm is a central muscle relaxant.

Reduces pathologically increased muscle tone, rigidity of muscles, improves voluntary active movements.

The mechanism of action is associated with the regulatory effect on the caudal part of the reticular formation, suppression of pathologically increased cerebrospinal reflex activity, and action on the peripheral nerve endings.

The drug is prescribed by doctors to increase muscle tone and to activate movements in the clamped organ. The drug acts on the nerve endings in the spinal cord and perfectly removes spasms and constrictions in osteochondrosis, bruises and injuries.

Indications:

• organic and degenerative neurological diseases, accompanied by increased tone of the striated muscles (damage to pyramidal tracts, multiple sclerosis, myelopathy, encephalomyelitis, consequences of ONMC, muscle contractures, rigidity of muscles, spinal automatism);
• hypertension of muscles;
• muscle spasms;
• infantile cerebral palsy (Little's disease);
• encephalopathy, accompanied by muscular dystonia (including in childhood).

Contraindications:

• psychosis
• epilepsy
• Parkinson's disease
• increased sensitivity to the drug Mydocalm.

Side effects:

• muscle weakness,
• headache,
• arterial hypotension,
• nausea,
• vomiting,
• feeling of discomfort in the abdomen.

With a decrease in the dose, side effects usually go away.

In rare cases, there are allergic reactions (skin itch, erythema, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic shock, bronchospasm).

Suggested Use:

Inside, after eating, without chewing, with a small amount of water.

Adults and children from 14 years - usually starting with 50 mg 2-3 times a day, gradually increasing the dose to 150 mg 2-3 times a day.

Children from 3 to 6 years of age - Midokalm is prescribed inside a daily dose of 5 mg / kg; 7-14 years - 2-4 mg / kg (in 3 divided doses during the day).
