Solution for injection "Neurodar®" is used for the following indications:

• stroke, acute phase of cerebrovascular accidents and treatment of complications and consequences of cerebrovascular accidents;
• traumatic brain injury and its neurological consequences;
• cognitive and behavioral impairments due to chronic vascular and degenerative brain disorders.

Compound

The active ingredient is citicoline (one ampoule (4 ml) contains citicoline sodium equivalent to citicoline 1000 mg).

Excipients: water for injection, concentrated phosphoric acid to adjust pH.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation;

increased tone of the parasympathetic nervous system.

Mode of application

The recommended dose for adults is 500 mg to 2000 mg per day, depending on the severity of the symptoms.

The preparation is prescribed for intramuscular or intravenous administration.

Intravenously, the preparation can be injected slowly (within 3-5 minutes, depending on the administered dose) or drip (speed - 40-60 drops per minute).

The maximum daily dose is 2000 mg.

The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease and is determined by the doctor.

Solution for injection is for single use only. Apply the preparation immediately after opening the ampoule. The remains of the preparation must be destroyed. The preparation can be mixed with all isotonic solution for intravenous administration, as well as with hypertonic glucose solution.

If necessary, continue treatment with the preparation in the form of an oral solution.

Application features

Pregnant

There is insufficient data on the use of citicoline in pregnant women. There are no data on the excretion of citicoline in breast milk and its effect on the fetus. Therefore, during pregnancy and lactation, the preparation is prescribed only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Children

The experience of using the preparation in children is limited.

Drivers

In some cases, some side reactions from the central nervous system can affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate complex mechanisms.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been reported.

Side effects

Adverse reactions occur very rarely (<1/10 000), including isolated cases.

From the central and peripheral nervous systems: severe headache, vertigo, hallucinations.

From the side of the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension, arterial hypotension, tachycardia.

From the respiratory system: shortness of breath.

From the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

From the immune system: allergic reactions, including: rash, hyperemia, exanthema, urticaria, purpura, pruritus, angioedema, anaphylactic shock.

Interaction

The preparation should not be mixed with other preparations in the same container. Do not use solvents not specified in the "Method of application" section.

Storage conditions

Store in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life is 3 years.
