Product description
Syrup "Normomed" is recommended for the following indications:
- infectious diseases of viral etiology in patients with normal and reduced immune status: influenza, parainfluenza, acute respiratory viral infections, bronchitis of viral etiology, rhinovirus and adenovirus infections; mumps, measles (as part of complex therapy);
- diseases caused by herpes simplex viruses Herpes simplex type I or Herpes simplex type II (herpes of the lips, skin of the face, oral mucosa, skin of the hands, ophthalmic herpes), subacute sclerosing panencephalitis, genital herpes with the Varicella zoster virus (chicken pox and shingles, in including recurrent in patients with immunodeficiency); Epstein-Barr virus (infectious mononucleosis); cytomegalovirus; human papillomavirus; acute and chronic viral hepatitis B (as part of complex therapy);
- chronic recurrent infections of the respiratory tract and genitourinary system in immunocompromised patients (including chlamydia and other diseases caused by intracellular pathogens), as part of complex therapy.
Compound
The active substance is inosine pranobex (100 ml of syrup contains 5.0 g of inosine pranobex).
Excipients: sucrose, glycerin, methyl paraben (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), citrus fruit flavor, purified water.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients of the preparation;
- acute attack of gout;
- hyperuricemia.
Mode of application
The preparation is taken orally, preferably after meals, at regular intervals. The duration of treatment is determined individually, depending on the nosology, the severity of the process and the frequency of relapses; on average, the duration of treatment is 5-14 days, if necessary, after a 7-10-day break, the course of treatment is repeated. Treatment with interruptions and maintenance doses can last up to 1-6 months. The dosage is determined individually depending on age, body weight, severity of the process.
The maximum daily dose is 4 g of inosine pranobex, which corresponds to 80 ml of syrup.
Recommended doses and regimens for the use of the preparation:
- influenza, parainfluenza, acute respiratory viral infections (adults): 20 ml of syrup 3-4 times a day; children - a daily dose of 50 mg / kg (that is, 1 ml of syrup / kg) of body weight for 3-4 doses for 5-7 days, if necessary, continue treatment or repeat after 7-8 days; to achieve the greatest effectiveness in acute respiratory viral infections, it is better to start treatment at the first symptoms of the disease or from the first day of the disease; as a rule, the preparation is taken for another 1-2 days after the symptoms disappear;
- bronchitis of viral etiology: adults - 20 ml of syrup 3 times a day, children - a daily dose of 50 mg / kg (that is, 1 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses for 2-4 weeks;
- mumps: daily dose at the rate of 70 mg / kg (i.e. 1.4 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses for 7-10 days;
- measles: daily dose of 100 mg/kg (i.e. 2 ml syrup/kg) in 3-4 doses for 7-14 days;
- stomatitis: adults - 20 ml of syrup 4 times a day, children - a daily dose of 70 mg / kg (that is, 1.4 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses for 6-8 days (acute phase), in further adults - 20 ml of syrup 3 times a day, children - 50 mg / kg (i.e. 1 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses 2 times a week for 6 weeks;
- infectious mononucleosis: a daily dose of 50 mg / kg (i.e. 1 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses for 8 days;
- cytomegalovirus infection: daily dose at the rate of 50 mg / kg (i.e. 1 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses for 25-30 days;
- shingles and herpes labialis: adults - 20 ml of syrup 3-4 times a day, children - a daily dose of 50 mg / kg (i.e. 1 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses for 10-14 days (up to disappearance of symptoms)
- genital herpes: in the acute period - 20 ml of syrup 3 times a day for 5-6 days during the period of remission maintenance dose - 20 ml of syrup (1000 mg) 1 time per day for up to 6 months;
- subacute sclerosing panencephalitis: daily dose at the rate of 50-100 mg / kg (i.e. 1-2 ml of syrup / kg) for 6 doses (every 4 hours) for 8-10 days after an 8-day break for mild cases additionally 1 more -3 courses, in severe cases - up to 9 courses;
- infections caused by Human papilloma virus (genital warts): 20 ml of syrup 3 times a day, course of treatment - 14-28 days or in combination with cryotherapy or CO2 laser therapy - 20 ml of syrup 3 times a day 3 courses with an interval of 1 month;
- hepatitis B: adults - 20 ml of syrup 3-4 times a day for 15-30 days, further maintenance dose - 20 ml of syrup (1000 mg) 1 time per day for 2-6 months;
- chronic recurrent infections of the respiratory tract and genitourinary system in patients with weakened immune systems (in complex treatment): adults - 20 ml of syrup 3-4 times a day, course of treatment - from 2 weeks to 3 months, children - a daily dose of calculation of 50 mg / kg (i.e. 1 ml of syrup / kg) for 3-4 doses during the 21st day (or 3 courses of 7-10 days with the same breaks).
To restore the function of the immune system and achieve a stable immunomodulatory effect in immunocompromised patients, the course of treatment should last from 3 to 9 weeks.

The preparation is not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation due to the lack of clinical studies of use during pregnancy and lactation.
Children
Applied to children over the age of one year.
Drivers
The effect on the ability to drive vehicles or operate other mechanisms has not been studied. However, in order to make a decision on driving a car or working with mechanisms, it must be taken into account that the preparation may cause dizziness or other adverse reactions from the nervous system.
Overdose
Cases of overdose were not observed. An overdose can cause an increase in the concentration of uric acid in the blood serum and in the urine. In case of overdose, gastric lavage and symptomatic therapy are indicated.
Side effects
The most typical adverse reaction in the treatment of adults and children with inosine pranobex is a temporary increase in the level of uric acid in the blood serum and in the urine, which returns to the original normal values a few days after the end of treatment.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, in a dry place out of the reach of children.
