Product description

Chela-Ferr Med is a preparation containing iron Ferrochel in the form of the amino acid chelate Albion (iron bisglycinate), which is one of the forms of iron. Chela-Ferr Med is food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of iron deficiency and / or anemia for children over 3 years of age, adolescents and adults.

Application

For the dietary management with medical indications for use in the following states:

increased need for iron: (e.g. pregnancy, heavy menstrual bleeding, blood donation, intensive sports, in children and adolescents in periods of intensive growth),
reduced iron absorption (which can occur, among others, in celiac disease, chronic pancreatitis),
iron deficiency anemia,
iron deficiency caused by improper nutrition, the use of unbalanced vegetarian diets, including macrobiotic diets, slimming diets,
chemotherapy and the perioperative period,
in the case of tired legs syndrome (RLS).

Recommended intake

Children over 3 years of age, adolescents and adults: 1 capsule a day.

In special cases, your doctor may prescribe a different dosing regimen.

Usage method

Take after a meal.

Swallow the capsule and drink it down with plenty of water.

The content of the capsule can be added to a meal or dissolved in juice.

Ingredients

Ferrous bisglycinate (iron amino acid chelate Ferrochel® TRAACS), maltodextrin, bulking agent - microcrystalline cellulose, anti-caking agent - magnesium salts of fatty acids, capsule (gelatin - shell component, color: titanium dioxide).

100g of the product contains:

energy value 1338kJ / 319kcal,

0.6 g fat, including 0.6 g saturated fatty acids, 36 g carbohydrates, including 2.3 g sugars, 42.5 g protein, 0.09 g salt, 7.5 g iron.

1 capsule contains:

energy value 5.4kJ / 1.3kcal,

fat <0.5 g, including saturated fatty acids <0.1 g, carbohydrates 0.1 g, including sugars 0.01 g, protein 0.2 g, salt <0.01 g, iron 30 mg.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

The preparation is not intended for children under 3 years of age.

Do not use in children without a clear doctor's prescription.

Important tips

Take under medical supervision.

In the case of children over 3 years of age and in all cases of dietary management, the portion is determined by the doctor.

The use of certain preparations, including preparations containing allopurinol, hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product.

The preparation is an incomplete foodstuff and should not be used as the sole source of food.

The preparation may pose a risk to health if it is consumed by people who have not been diagnosed with a specific disease, health condition or there are no medical indications resulting from the intended use of the product.

The product is not intended for parenteral use.

Do not exceed the portion of the preparation suggested for consumption or determined by the doctor. Use with caution in children.

Store in dry rooms, at room temperature, out of reach of children.
