Passiflor is a homeopathic medicine in the form of a syrup suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age. The composition contains passion flower extract Passiflora incarnata L. The medicinal product Passiflor is intended for traditional use in mild states of nervous tension and difficulties with falling asleep. Importantly, the action of the preparation is based only on experience gained from long-term use.

Indications

For traditional use in mild states of nervous tension and difficulties falling asleep.

The effect of the preparation is solely based on experience gained from long-term use.

Composition

100 ml of Passiflor syrup contains:

active ingredient: Passiflorae herba extractum - liquid extract of Passiflora incarnata L. (2: 1) 3.66 g, extraction solvent: ethanol 60% (V / V).

excipients: maltitol (E965), purified water, glycerol (E422), blackcurrant concentrate, citric acid monohydrate (E330), potassium sorbate (E202).

The preparation contains no more than 0.5% (m / m) of ethanol. 5 ml of the preparation contains 183 mg of extract, which corresponds to 366 mg of the raw material.

Action

Sedatives and sleeping pills.

Dosage

Adolescents from 12 years of age and adults: 3 - 4 times a day 10 ml of the preparation (you can double the dose if necessary).

Contraindications

Do not use the preparation in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Storage

Passiflor should be kept out of the sight and reach of children at a temperature below 25ºC.

Side effects

Like all preparations, this preparation  may cause side effects.

Very rarely:

• hypersensitivity to the active substance.
• Frequency unknown:
• nausea,
• tachycardia.

Interactions

It is not recommended to take the preparation with others with synthetic preparations that have a sedative or hypnotic effect.

Driving vehicles and operating machinery

The preparation may make you feel sleepy, which may impair your ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility

Before using the medication, you should consult your doctor. The effect of the preparation  on fertility has not been established.

Warnings and Precautions

It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

It is not recommended for people with hereditary fructose intolerance.

The preparation contains small amounts of ethanol, less than 0.06 g per dose.

The syrup does not contain sugar and can be used by diabetics.

The preparation should be shaken before use.
