Product description

Oral solution "Pelorsin" is used for acute and chronic infections of the respiratory tract and ENT organs (bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillar tonsillitis, rhinopharyngitis).

Compound

1 g of solution contains (active substance) 800 mg of liquid extract from the roots of Pelargonium sidoides (1: 8-10), extractant - ethanol 11% (m / m).

The excipient is glycerin (85%).

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation;
• an increased tendency to bleeding, taking medications that slow down the blood clotting process;
• severe liver and kidney disease (due to the lack of sufficient experience with the use of this preparation in such cases).

Mode of application

The solution should be taken with a small amount of liquid 30 minutes before meals in the morning, afternoon and evening.

In the acute stage of the disease, they are usually prescribed:

adults and children over 12 years old - 30 drops 3 times a day;

children from 6 to 12 years old - 20 drops 3 times a day;

children from one to 6 years old - 10 drops 3 times a day.

For the prevention of relapses and further treatment of chronic diseases, adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 10–20 drops of the preparation 3 times a day.

The average duration of the course of treatment of acute illness and prevention of relapse is 7-10 days. The total duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.

It is not recommended to take the preparation during pregnancy or lactation due to insufficient clinical experience with its use in this group of patients.

Children

There is no experience of using the preparation in children under the age of one year, therefore, this preparation is prescribed for children from one year old.

The use of the preparation "Pelorsin" for the treatment of young children (from one to six years old) is recommended under medical supervision.

Drivers

The effect on the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms has not been studied, but it should be borne in mind that the preparation contains ethanol 11% (m / m).

Overdose

So far, there have been no reports of overdose cases. An increase in adverse reactions is possible.

Side effects

From the digestive tract: disorders of the digestive tract (including stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea), slight bleeding from the gums.

From the respiratory system: mild nosebleeds.

On the part of the skin / on the part of the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions (including skin rashes, urticaria, itching of the skin and mucous membranes). In extremely rare cases, severe hypersensitivity reactions with facial edema, shortness of breath and a decrease in blood pressure are possible.

From the hepatobiliary system: increased liver function indicators. A causal relationship between an increase in these indicators and the use of the preparation has not been demonstrated.

Storage conditions

Store in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children. Do not freeze.

Shelf life - 2 years (after opening the bottle - 3 months).
