Product description

The dietary supplement "Pembina-Blue" is a combined product based on the uroseptic methylthioninium chloride and plant extracts. It has an antibacterial, diuretic and acidifying effect on bladder and kidney infections.

Active substances

Methylthioninium chloride is a phenothiazine compound that is well absorbed in the digestive tract, enters the urinary system, where it exhibits an antiseptic effect (has bactericidal properties), and then is excreted mainly in the urine. It is excreted in the urine mainly unchanged with an antiseptic effect, staining the urine blue. These features led to its presence in several products intended for the treatment of diseases of the urinary system. Methylthioninium chloride accelerates externalization - the elimination of pathogens that have penetrated the urothelium. This allows you to reduce the severity of the main symptoms of cystitis (burning sensation, pain when urinating) and prevent relapse.

Sage (Salvia officinalis) contains alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, organic acids, essential oils and other compounds, inter alia, causing bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects on bacteria. This is the reason why sage is added during the treatment of urinary tract infections. Ursolic acid, found in sage and cranberries, is responsible for the diuretic effect of this supplement.

Cranberries also contain vitamin C and group B (B1, B2, B5, B6), vitamins E, PP and vitamin K1 (phylloquinone). The predominant acids in cranberries are citric, as well as malic, quinic, benzoic, ursolic, chlorogenic, oleanolic, ketoglutaric and hydroxyketobutyric acids. In small quantities, cranberries contain succinic and oxalic acids. The sugars, which are rich in cranberries, mainly include glucose and fructose, much less sucrose in these berries. Of the polysaccharides, the pectins in cranberries are important for health. Cranberries also contain bioflavonoids such as leukoanthocyanins, flavonols, anthocyanins, catechins and phenolic acids, as well as betaine and important macro- and micronutrients: potassium, calcium and phosphorus. Cranberries are relatively rich in manganese, iron, copper and molybdenum; it also contains magnesium, iodine, barium, cobalt, boron, nickel, lead, tin, silver, zinc, chromium, aluminum, titanium. With such a rich composition of nutrients, the calorie content of cranberries is only 28 kcal. Due to the high content of potassium salts and vitamin C, cranberries are very useful for maintaining the body during the period of infectious and colds, especially in the autumn-winter period. In studies, scientists have established a positive effect of cranberries on health in diseases of the urinary system. Experts have proven that 1.5 glasses of cranberry juice per day reduces the risk of these diseases by 2 times. This healing effect of cranberries is due to the content of proanthocyanidin and benzoic acid in it. Cranberries are considered a natural antibiotic due to their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, cranberries contain substances that prevent the formation of blood clots in blood vessels.

Composition

1 capsule contains (active ingredients):

Dry sage leaf extract (based on corn maltodextrin 30%) - 100 mg.

Large-fruited cranberry fruit extract with 40% proanthocyanidins - 200 mg.

Methylthioninium chloride - 30 mg.

Excipients: corn starch and gelatinized starch; anti-caking agent magnesium stearate; capsule composition: gelatin, colorants: titanium dioxide, shiny black, patented blue V, ponceau red 4R, azorubin.

Mode of application

Recommended dosage (for adults):

in the presence of symptoms of pathology of the urinary system - one capsule 2 times a day for 15 days;

to prevent the development of symptoms of pathology of the urinary system - one capsule per day for a month.

The capsules should be taken with a sufficient amount of water.

The recommended period of use is 1 month. In the future, the dose and duration of consumption are agreed with the doctor individually.
