Spray "Permethrin" is used for head lice (head, pubic).

Structure

The active ingredient is permethrin (1 g of the preparation contains 5 mg of permethrin).

Excipients: etonium, benzalkonium chloride, ethanol (96%), purified water.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to permethrin and preparation excipients;
• violations of the integrity of the skin, inflammation and secondary skin infections;
• the period of pregnancy or lactation;
• children's age up to 3 years.
• It is not recommended to use the spray "Permethrin" for patients with bronchial asthma, obstructive bronchitis, including in the history, due to the risk of bronchospasm when inhaling the preparation.

Mode of application

Outwardly. Press on the spray head and spray "Permethrin" spray on the hair, rubbing it into the hair roots. When spraying the spray, the edge of the spray should be kept 3 cm away from the hair.

After treatment with Permethrin spray, leave on hair for 10-40 minutes (you can cover your head with a handkerchief), then rinse thoroughly with warm running water and soap or shampoo and dry naturally. After washing, comb the hair with a thick comb to remove dead parasites; in case of detection of live lice, repeat the treatment before the next hair wash or after 7 days.

Spray consumption "Permethrin", depending on the thickness and length of the hair - from 10 ml to 60 ml.

For pubic lice, spray the spray with short pressing on the spray head until the entire hairy part of the pubic area is completely covered.

After 30 minutes, wash the treated areas with soap and water and rinse thoroughly.

No studies have been carried out on the safety of using the Permethrin spray during pregnancy or lactation, that is, the preparation should not be used during this period.

Drivers

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms has not been established.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, the symptoms indicated in the "Side effects" section may increase. In case of an overdose, it is necessary to stop using this spray, rinse the skin with plenty of warm water, it is also possible to use antihistamines. In case of poisoning by inhalation of vapors of the "Permethrin" spray, treatment should be started by removing the patient to fresh air. If this preparation comes in contact with the eyes or skin, the affected area should be rinsed with plenty of water.

In case of accidental use of the spray "Permethrin" inside, there is a high probability of spontaneous vomiting, therefore, further administration of emetics is not recommended due to the risk of rapid development of seizures and coma. The absorption of the Permethrin spray can be prevented by washing the stomach and taking activated charcoal or a laxative. Treatment is primarily supportive and includes monitoring the patient for allergic reactions.

Side effects

From the immune system: allergic reactions, including skin rashes and edema.

Local effects: burning sensation, tingling or tingling sensation, skin numbness, increased itching, erythema, pain, eczema.
