PHARMENA

PHARMENA Sp. z o.o. was founded in November 2002 on the initiative of scientists from Łódź from the Łódź University of Technology and the Medical University of Łódź. Based on the license agreement, the Company obtains exclusive rights to commercialize its products.

In January 2003, the Company commences its operating activities. In May this year, the first original products of the Company appeared on the Polish market - the DERMENA shampoo to prevent excessive hair loss, THERMI care and soothing gel and ACCOS anti-acne gel. The introduction to the market of innovative preparations, protected by patent law in several countries, is the crowning achievement of many years of research conducted by the Lodz University of Technology in cooperation with the Medical University of Lodz.

In August 2003, Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna SA holds over 47% of the company's shares. A year later, in December, the Company begins export sales on selected eastern markets.

In August 2005, PHARMENA founds Pharmena North America Inc. based in Boston (USA), which will focus on conducting clinical trials in the USA and Canada. In November 2006, PHARMENA establishes the company DERMENA North America Inc. with headquarters in Boston (USA), whose task is to introduce dermocosmetics produced by the Company to the American market.

In the years 2004-2007, the Company expanded the range of products with new products in the lines of Dermena, Accos and Allerco - a cream for the care of sensitive skin launched in 2005.

In April 2008, the company transforms its legal form from a limited liability company into a joint stock company.

On August 25, 2008, PHARMENA S.A. joins companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, debuting in the alternative trading system New Connect.
