Product description

Piracetam-Darnitsa tablets are indicated for adults for:
  • symptomatic treatment of pathological conditions that are accompanied by memory impairment, cognitive disorders, with the exception of diagnosed dementia (dementia);
  • treatment of cortical myoclonus as part of mono- or complex therapy.

Compound

Active substance: piracetam;
1 tablet contains piracetam 200 mg;
Excipients: light magnesium carbonate, potato starch, povidone, calcium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 4000, titanium dioxide (E 171), quinoline yellow (E 104).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to piracetam, other pyrrolidone derivatives and other components of the preparation.
End-stage renal disease (creatinine clearance <20 ml / min).
Acute violation of cerebral circulation (hemorrhagic stroke).
Chorea of ​​Huntington.

Mode of application

The preparation should be taken orally before or during meals. The tablets should be taken with a liquid (water or juice). The duration of treatment and the choice of an individual dose depend on the severity of the patient's condition and the rate of reverse dynamics of the clinical picture of the disease.

Overdose

Symptoms: increased manifestations of side effects of the preparation. When 75 g of piracetam was taken orally, dyspeptic symptoms such as bloody diarrhea and abdominal pain were noted. Overdose symptoms were observed with oral administration of the preparation at a dose of 75 g.
Treatment is symptomatic. Immediately after a significant oral overdose, it is necessary to flush the stomach or induce vomiting. There is no specific antidote, hemodialysis can be used (excretion of 50-60% of piracetam).

Side effects

From the nervous system: hyperkinesia.
From the side of metabolism and nutrition: an increase in body weight.
Mental disorders: nervousness, depression.
General disorders and disorders at the injection site: asthenia.

Interaction

When used together with thyroid hormones, increased irritability, disorientation and sleep disturbance are possible.
Coadministration with alcohol did not affect the serum concentration of piracetam, and the serum alcohol concentration did not change with the use of 1.6 g of piracetam.

Storage conditions

Store in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.
Keep out of the reach of children.
The shelf life is 5 years.
