Product description

The antiallergic preparation Polcrom 2% contains sodium cromoglycan, which works by inhibiting the release of histamine and other cell mediators in the course of allergic reactions.

Indications

Treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.

Composition

1 ml of solution contains: active substance: sodium cromoglycate 20 mg. Excipients: sorbitol, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, disodium edetate, sodium chloride, polysorbate 80, benzalkonium chloride solution, purified water.

Action

Antiallergic.

Dosage

Adults and children over 3 years of age 1 dose in each nostril 4-6 times a day. Use of the preparation should be started at least one week before exposure to the allergen and continued throughout the exposure to the allergen.

Contraindications

Allergy to any component of the preparation, pregnancy, lactation.

Storage

Store at a temperature not higher than 25 degrees Celsius, out of the reach and sight of children.

Side effects

Transient irritation of the nasal mucosa, congestion and swelling of the mucosa, sneezing, and rarely nosebleeds may occur. You may experience wheezing, tightness in the chest, coughing, dysgeusia, headache, rash, and hypersensitivity reactions including severe anaphylactic reactions.

Interactions

Sodium cromglycate has not been shown to interact with other nasal medications.

Warnings and Precautions

The preparation can be used in children over 3 years of age. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken all medicines, and about any medicines you plan to take. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
