Product description

Polifer® is an innovative source of iron, which is easily absorbed, presented in the form of a liposome complex. The patented technology avoids the side effects common with iron supplementation, such as regurgitation, unstable stools, staining of the oral mucosa and tooth enamel.

Polifer® is non-toxic, therefore it can be recommended in all cases of iron deficiency, including during pregnancy and lactation. Liposomal iron in the gastrointestinal tract is surrounded by a protective environment of liposomes, which in the small intestine bind to chylomicrons and are transported first to the lymphatic system, and from there enter the hepatic bloodstream, resulting in high bioavailability of iron at low doses of Polifer®.

Thanks to liposome technology, the bioavailability of iron in the product is increased by 3.5 times compared to the same amount of iron that is not included in the structure of liposomes. Liposomal iron has almost 100% bioavailability.

Properties

Iron pyrophosphate

Iron is involved in the synthesis of hemoglobin and myoglobin, catalase and peroxidase; takes part in direct and indirect oxidative processes (included in 72 enzymes), ensuring the normal functioning of the immune system. Iron pyrophosphate is a water-soluble micronized iron source that has been formulated to enhance iron absorption and reduce unwanted organoleptic symptoms. Thanks to the innovative microencapsulated technology, microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate provides adequate iron levels without any unpleasant side effects such as heartburn, diarrhea, constipation and nausea. The product provides maximum tolerance, even if continuous use is required over a long period of time.

Vitamin B12

It is part of some enzymes. Activates protein metabolism, participates in the biosynthesis of methionine, nucleic acids, affects carbohydrate and fat metabolism; participates in hematopoiesis. With its deficiency, anemia develops. Vitamin B12 has anti-anemic, hepatoprotective, hypocholesterolemic effects, and also activates the blood coagulation system. In a growing body, it promotes the synthesis of fats, in an adult - their utilization. It is found in significant quantities in the liver, kidneys, fish products, eggs, soy. In industry, they are obtained by microbiological synthesis. Application: chronic anemias accompanied by vitamin B12 deficiency, traumatic injuries and inflammation, diabetic neuropathy, skin diseases, traumatic bone injuries and conditions after surgery, acute and chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and radiation sickness, radiculitis, migraines, dystrophy in premature babies and newborns.

Vitamin C

Used for the prevention and treatment of scurvy, with bleeding, hemorrhagic diathesis, bleeding with radiation sickness, with various intoxications and infectious diseases, nephropathy of pregnant women, Addison's disease, with an overdose of anticoagulants, bone fractures, during pregnancy and lactation, with increased mental and physical overloads, as well as vitamin deficiencies.

Ascorbic acid is a non-toxic and non-irritating substance and is well accepted by the human body. However, it is prescribed with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, as well as with increased blood coagulation function, a tendency to thrombosis and thrombophlebitis. Causes diarrhea and gastrointestinal distress when taken in high doses. At high doses, it is necessary to monitor renal function and blood pressure.

Vitamin B9

Plays a unique role in the biosynthesis of nucleic acids and cell division processes. With a lack of folic acid, hematopoietic processes are disturbed - erythro-, leuko- and thrombopoiesis. Composition

Active ingredients:

Vitamin C - 80 mg

Iron in the form of microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate in liposomal form - 14 mg.

Folic acid - 200 mcg.

Vitamin B12 - 2.5 mcg.

Excipients: sweeteners: Xylitab® 200 (xylitol, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose), mannitol; flavoring "Orange"; citric acid anhydrous; sweeteners: sorbitol, aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame K.

Method of administration and dosage

Take with or without food (since Polifer® does not interact with food or medications) for children from 6 years old and adults 1 stick per day. The granules are diluted in water or poured into the mouth on the tongue and slowly dissolve. It is not necessary to drink with liquid.

The duration of application of Polifer® is 2-3 months. If necessary, the course is continued on the recommendation of a doctor until the hemoglobin level is normalized.

Warning

For pregnant women and women during lactation, use as directed by a doctor (the daily dose is determined by the doctor).

It is recommended to consult a doctor before use. Should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the indicated dose for daily consumption. Contains a source of phenylalanine. Excessive consumption can have a laxative effect.

Contraindications

Individual sensitivity to product components; children under 6 years old; patients with phenylketonuria; persons with impaired iron utilization mechanisms (lead anemia, sideroblastic anemia); anemia not associated with iron deficiency (hemolytic anemia, megaloblastic anemia).
