Product description

Polopyrin S contains acetylsalicylic acid, which has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties.

Indications

Polopyrin S is a preparation in the form of tablets designed to combat the symptoms associated with flu and colds and pains of mild and moderate intensity (headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, joint pain).

Composition

1 tablet contains: active substance: acetylsalicylic acid. The other ingredients are: maize starch, powdered cellulose, and microcrystalline cellulose.

Action

Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic.

Dosage

Adults: 1-2 tablets every 4 hours. It is not recommended to take more than 3g of the preparation a day. Prophylactically in myocardial infarction: from 150 to 300 mg daily.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients; hypersensitivity to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations, with symptoms such as bronchospasm, hay fever, shock; bronchial asthma, chronic respiratory disease, hay fever or swelling of the nasal mucosa, as patients with these conditions may respond to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations with asthma attacks, limited swelling of the skin and mucosa (angioedema), or urticaria more often than other patients; active stomach ulcer and / or duodenal ulcer and inflammation or bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract (gastrointestinal bleeding may occur or ulcer may become active); severe liver or kidney failure; severe heart failure; blood coagulation disorders (e.g. haemophilia, thrombocytopenia) and concomitant treatment with anticoagulants (e.g. coumarin derivatives, heparin); glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; simultaneous use with methotrexate in doses of 15 mg per week or more due to myelotoxicity; in children under 12 years of age, especially in the course of viral infections, due to the risk of Reye's syndrome; the last trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
