Product description

Polopiryna Throat contains flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations (NSAIDs), which have analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties to treat a sore throat. These medicines work by changing the body's response to pain, swelling and high temperature.

Polopiryna Throat is intended for the short-term relief of the symptoms of inflammation of the throat, such as irritation, pain and swelling of the throat and difficulty in swallowing in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

HOW TO USE

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 hard tablet every 3 to 6 hours, if necessary.

Do not take more than 5 lozenges in 24 hours.

Method of administration

For use in the oral cavity.

The lozenge should be slowly dissolved in the mouth, do not swallow or chew the lozenge.

Always move the lozenge around in your mouth when dissolving.

Use in children

The preparation should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

The preparation Polopiryna Gardło is intended only for short-term use.

The fewest possible lozenges should be taken for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms. If irritation occurs in the mouth, flurbiprofen should be discontinued.

IMPORTANT

Do not use Polopiryna Gardło

if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

if you have ever had asthma, unexpected noises or difficulty breathing, nasal discharge, facial swelling or itchy skin rash (hives) after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs

if you have or have had an ulcer in the stomach or intestines (two or more episodes of stomach or duodenal ulcer)

if you have had gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, severe inflammation of the colon or blood disorders related to previous treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations,

if the patient is in the last three months of pregnancy (third trimester of pregnancy),

if you have or have had severe heart, liver or kidney failure

COMPOSITION

The active substance is flurbiprofen. One hard tablet contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen.

The other ingredients are: isomalt (E 953), maltitol (E 965), cochineal red (E 124), yellow, orange (E 110), acesulfame potassium (E 950), macrogol 300 (E 1521), orange flavor, (limonene (50.0% -100%), decanal (0.0% -10%) citral, citronellol (0.1% -1.0%)), levomenthol.
