Product description

Quiet Sedative tablets are indicated for anxiety and insomnia due to nervous tension.

Composition

Active ingredients: valerian rhizome extract water-alcohol dry (Valeriana officinalis L.), dry lemon balm leaf extract (Melissa officinalis L.), dry passionflower herb extract (Passiflora incarnata L.);

1 tablet contains:

• extract of valerian rhizome water-alcohol dry (Valeriana officinalis L.) (DER: (3-6: 1), extractant: ethanol 70%) - 125 mg;
• dry lemon balm leaf extract (Melissa officinalis L.) (DER: (4-6: 1), extractant: methanol 30%) - 112.5 mg;
• dry passiflora herb extract (Passiflora incarnata L.) (DER: (3-6: 1), extractant: ethanol 70%) - 80 mg;

Excipients: lactose, monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; sodium croscarmellose; anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide; magnesium stearate;

Film coating: Opadry 200 F 210013 green (polyvinyl alcohol, talc, polyethylene glycol (macrogol), quinoline yellow (E 104), titanium dioxide (E 171), indigo carmine (E 132), methacrylic acid copolymer, sodium bicarbonate, sunset yellow FCF ( E 110)).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to lemon balm, valerian, passionflower or any of the excipients.

Depression and other conditions accompanied by inhibition of the activity of the central nervous system.

Mode of application

Adults and children over 12 years old.

For treating anxiety, take 2 tablets up to 3 times daily.

For the treatment of insomnia due to nervous tension, take 2 tablets half an hour - an hour before bedtime. If necessary, you can additionally take 2 tablets earlier, during the evening.

Mode of application.

The tablets should be taken with a liquid.

The duration of the use of the preparation "Quiet ® Sedative " is determined by the doctor. If symptoms persist for more than two weeks or worsen, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

If you have missed the intake of the preparation "Quiet ® Sedative ", do not double the dose - continue taking it according to the above recommendations.

Overdose

The use of valerian root in a dose of more than 20 g (18 tablets) in one case led to the following symptoms: weakness, abdominal cramps, a feeling of tightness in the chest, a feeling of emptiness in the head, trembling hands and dilated pupils. These symptoms disappear within 24 hours.

Headache, dizziness, drowsiness, lethargy, decreased visual acuity, hearing loss, tachycardia are possible. In case of a significant overdose, you should consult a doctor. Treatment: stop using the preparation, rinse the stomach if necessary, take activated charcoal, conduct symptomatic therapy.

There have been reports of the development of a withdrawal syndrome (delirium) after taking very high doses of valerian extract for several years (approximately 30 g per day).

Interaction

In the case of simultaneous use with other hypnotic, analgesic, antispasmodic, sedative preparations and alcohol, a mutual enhancement of the effect is possible.

Concomitant use with benzodiazepines is not recommended. Simultaneous administration with disulfiram should be avoided.
