Product description

Tablets "Remantadin-KR" are used for early treatment and prevention of influenza during an epidemic in adults and children aged 7 years and older.

Structure

The active ingredient is rimantadine hydrochloride (one tablet contains 0.05 g of rimantadine hydrochloride).

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the components of the adamantane group and to any of the components of the preparation;

acute and chronic liver diseases, acute and chronic kidney diseases, thyrotoxicosis.

Mode of application

The tablets are taken orally after meals with water.

The use of the preparation "Remantadin-KR" should be started immediately after the first symptoms of influenza appear. The therapeutic effect is more pronounced if the use of the preparation is started within the first 48 hours.

Treatment for influenza: adults and children over 14 years old: on the first day - 100 mg (two tablets) 3 times a day, on the 2nd and 3rd days - 100 mg (two tablets) 2 times a day , on the 4th and 5th day - 100 mg (two tablets) 1 time per day.

If your health condition worsens or does not improve within 3 days, you should consult your doctor.

Before using the preparation, children should definitely consult a doctor.

Children aged 7-10 years - appoint 50 mg (one tablet) 2 times a day; 11-14 years old - 50 mg (one tablet) 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is 5 days.

Elderly patients (over 65 years old): 100 mg (two tablets) 1 time per day. The duration of treatment is 5 days.

Prevention of influenza: adults and children over 7 years of age: 50 mg (one tablet) 1 time per day. The duration of treatment is up to 15 days.

The preparation should be taken at the same time as the onset of a flu epidemic and used during a flu epidemic.

Symptoms: agitation, hallucinations, heart rhythm disturbances, fever, chills, sweating, arrhythmia, hypesthesia, increased tearing, dysphalgia, constipation, increased urination, stomatitis, eye pain.

Treatment: preparation withdrawal, gastric lavage, intravenous administration of physiostigmine to children - 0.5 mg, if repeated administration is necessary, but not more than 2 mg / hour. Rimantadine and amantadine are not excreted by hemodialysis.

Side effects

Remantadin-KR is usually well tolerated.

Gastrointestinal disorders: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - dyspepsia (nausea, vomiting).

Neurological disorders: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - insomnia.
