Rectal suppositories (suppositories) Salofalk are indicated for the treatment of exacerbations and the prevention of recurrence of ulcerative colitis limited to the rectum.

Active substance: mesalazine;

1 suppository contains 250 mg of mesalazine (5-aminosalicylic acid);

Excipients: solid fat.

1 suppository contains 500 mg of mesalazine (5-aminosalicylic acid);

Excipients: solid fat, cetyl alcohol, sodium docusate.

Hypersensitivity to mesalazine, to any of the components of the preparation or to salicylates, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, severe hepatic and / or renal failure, hemorrhagic diathesis.

This medicinal product is intended for rectal administration.

Should be taken during pregnancy only when the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk.

In cases where dizziness is observed during treatment, you should refrain from driving and working with mechanisms.

There are data on cases of overdose (for example, willful committing suicide with a high oral dose of mesalazine), do not indicate renal or hepatic toxicity. To date, no cases of intoxication and specific antidotes have been reported. There is no specific antidote; treatment should be symptomatic and supportive. If necessary, electrolyte infusion (forced diuresis) is used.

Adverse reactions most often observed in clinical studies: diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, headache, vomiting and rash. Hypersensitivity reactions have sometimes developed.

Special studies of preparation interactions have not been conducted.
