Product description

Sermion (Nicergolinum, Nicergoline) - preparation improving cerebral and peripheral circulation, with an alpha-adrenoceptor blocking and metabolism activating action.

Decreases vascular resistance, increases arterial blood flow and oxygen consumption and glucose brain tissue. It lowers pulmonary vascular resistance. It reduces platelet aggregation and improves hemorheological indexes.

It increases blood flow in the vessels of the upper and lower extremities, especially in case of violation of blood flow, caused functional arteriopathy. Clinical trials have shown high efficiency of Sermion at blood flow in the vessels of the upper and lower extremities and cerebrovascular disorders failure.

Reception Sermion at therapeutic doses, usually has no effect on blood pressure. In patients with hypertension preparation may cause a gradual reduction in blood pressure.

Nicergoline - ergoline derivative improves hemodynamic and metabolic processes in the brain, decreases platelet aggregation and improve hemorheological parameters of blood, increases blood flow in the upper and lower extremities. Nicergoline exhibits α1-adrenoceptor blocking action, leading to an improvement in blood flow, and has a direct effect on cerebral neurotransmitter systems - adrenergic, dopaminergic and cholinergic. Against the background of the preparation  increased the activity of adrenergic, dopaminergic and cholinergic cerebral systems that helps to optimize cognitive processes. As a result, long-term therapy nicergoline seen sustained improvements in cognitive function and decrease the severity of behavioral disturbances associated with dementia.

Testimony:

• Acute or chronic vascular or metabolic cerebral insufficiency: atherosclerosis; thrombosis or embolism of cerebral vessels; transient cerebral ischemic attacks.

Contraindications:

Sermion improves concentration. Effect on ability to drive vehicles and use machines have never been studied. Nevertheless, in view of the disease, about which prescribers are advised to be cautious when driving or operating machinery.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:

In pregnancy, the preparation is prescribed only under strict indications. In experimental studies have not revealed teratogenic effects of nicergoline.

Side effects:

Since the cardiovascular system: rarely - a feeling of heat and flushing.

CNS: rarely - drowsiness, insomnia.

From the digestive system: rarely - mild stomach disorder.

Suggested Use:

Inside the preparation prescribed to 5.10 mg three times / day with the same intervals between doses for a long period of time. To improve absorption of the preparation should be taken between meals.

In some cases, it is advisable to start treatment with parenteral administration (Sermion por.liof.d / in. 4 mg vial. 4 ml [with p-lem] y. 4 Pfizer), followed by the transition to the ingestion during the period of maintenance therapy.

Preparation interactions:

In an application Sermion may potentiate the action of antihypertensive preparations.
