Product description

Syrup "Sinecod" is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of coughs (including dry) of various origins.

Structure

The active ingredient is citrate butamirate (1 ml of syrup contains 1.5 mg of citrate butamirate).

Excipients: sorbitol solution (E 420), glycerin, sodium saccharin, benzoic acid (E 210), vanillin, ethanol 96%, sodium hydroxide 30%, purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active or auxiliary substances of the drug.

Mode of application

Recommended dosage:

• children aged 3 to 6 years - 5 ml 3 times a day;
• children aged 6 to 12 years - 10 ml 3 times a day;
• children aged 12 to 18 years - 15 ml 3 times a day;
• adults - 15 ml 4 times a day.

The measuring cup must be washed and dried after each use and after use by another person.

The maximum course of treatment without a doctor's prescription should not exceed one week.

It is advisable to take the drug before meals.

Pregnant

The safety of this syrup during pregnancy and lactation has not been evaluated in special studies. You should not use Sinecod during the first three months of pregnancy. In other periods of pregnancy, this syrup can be used only as directed by a doctor if there are direct indications for such treatment. It is not known whether the active substance and / or its metabolites penetrate into breast milk. For safety reasons, the benefits and risks of using this syrup during breastfeeding should be carefully weighed. The use of the drug during breastfeeding is possible if, in the opinion of the doctor, the expected positive effect for the mother outweighs the potential risk for the child.

Children

Children under 3 years of age do not use the drug in this dosage form.

Drivers

Rarely, Sinecod can cause drowsiness, which may have some effect on the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery. Therefore, you should be careful when driving or performing other work requiring vigilance (for example, when operating machinery).

Overdose

Overdose can cause the following symptoms: drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and hypotension.

It is necessary to take the usual measures for emergency care: gastric lavage, intake of activated charcoal, control of vital body functions, symptomatic treatment. There is no specific antidote.
