Sterimar Blocked Nose, a hypertonic solution of seawater enriched with copper. Recommended for children and adults. It naturally clears the nose, soothes nasal congestion in the course of colds, nasopharyngitis, allergic rhinitis, and paranasal sinusitis. Helps to counter the proliferation of bacteria thanks to the combined antiseptic effect of salt and copper. It reduces the risk of bacterial superinfection from the nasal cavity. It thins excess secretions and cleans the nasal mucosa, thus enhancing the effect of nasal medications. It helps to prevent the development of infection by cleaning the nose and helping to remove bacteria and viruses in the mucus secretions. The product is convenient to use and can be used in any position. It is 100% natural, rich in micronutrients, does not contain preservatives.

Application

The product is recommended for short-term use during infections and allergic episodes; suitable for children from 3 years of age and adults.

Usage method

Before the first use, prepare the dispenser by pressing briefly on the tip. Insert the tip of the canister into the nostril. Briefly press - let excess solution run out of nose - then blow nose. Rinse the tip with soap and water, rinse and wipe dry. Apply to each nostril 2-6 times a day depending on the severity of the swelling. The preparation can be used in any position.

First, some "scientific chatter" for those interested :-)

- A hypertonic solution is a solution whose osmotic pressure is higher than the osmotic pressure of the solution with which it is compared. Hypertonic salt concentration in the sea water solution initiates the osmotic process consisting in the exchange of water between the external environment and the mucosa cells.

- Water always flows towards a hypertonic solution, i.e. from a solution with a lower osmotic concentration to a solution with a higher concentration, until the salt concentrations in both solutions equalize.

- Under the influence of this process, the mucosa becomes constricted due to the reduction of its swelling through the loss of water passing into a solution with a higher osmotic pressure.
