Succus Urticae is used as an adjunct to mild inflammation of the urinary tract, to increase the amount of urine output and to improve urinary flow. The preparation can also be used as an aid in mild rheumatic ailments. The formulation includes the juice of the fresh nettle herb, which is traditionally used as a diuretic.

Succus Urticae is intended for traditional use in the above-mentioned indications and its effectiveness is based solely on experience gained from a long period of use.

Indications

Mild inflammation of the urinary tract and mild rheumatic symptoms.

Composition

100 ml contains:

fresh nettle herb juice, stabilized with ethanol (1: 1), ethanol content: 20-25% (v / v).

Action

Diuretic.

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2.5 - 5 ml of the preparation 3 times a day.

Dilute with a little water.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to nettle herb and when it is recommended to limit fluid intake (e.g. in serious heart or kidney diseases).

Storage

Store the preparation out of the reach and sight of children, at a temperature below 25 ° C.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Mild gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) and allergic reactions (e.g. itching, rash, hives) may occur. The frequency of these symptoms is unknown.

Interactions

It is not recommended to take the preparation together with synthetic diuretic preparations.

Due to the vitamin K content of nettle herb, patients treated with anticoagulant medications should seek medical advice before taking the preparation.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations you are taking or have recently taken, and about any preparations  you plan to use.

Taking the preparation with food and drink

Food does not affect the way the medicine works.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility

The safety of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation and its effect on fertility have not been established. Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and operating machinery

The effect of the preparation on the ability to drive and use machines is not known. Alcohol can be detected by breath alcohol measuring devices immediately after using the medicine. For this reason, the preparation may interfere with safe driving and you should not drive or operate any machinery or use dangerous tools immediately after taking the preparation. A break of at least half an hour should be maintained
