Indications

It is used as a tear substitute in dry eye diseases such as dry keratoconjunctivitis, Sjögren's syndrome, and in the prevention and treatment of ailments associated with these diseases. The preparation is indicated for temporary reduction of burning sensation and irritation resulting from dry eye; as a protective agent against irritation and used to temporarily reduce the feeling of discomfort associated with mild eye irritation or exposure to sun and wind.

Composition

1 ml of solution contains: active substances: 3 mg of hypromellose and 1 mg of dextran 70, excipients: polidronium chloride, borax, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium hydroxide and / or hydrochloric acid to obtain the appropriate pH, purified water.

Action

Moisturizing, reducing the discomfort associated with eye irritation.

Dosage

Usually 1 or 2 drops are instilled into the eye as needed. Tilt your head back. Gently pull the lower eyelid with a clean finger to create a "pocket" between the eyelid and the eye. In this place you should put a drop of medicine. Do not touch your eye or eyelid, surrounding tissue or any surfaces with the tip of the dropper. The bottle should be discarded one month after first opening.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to hypromellose, dextran or any of the excipients of the drug.
