Description

TERBIDERM cream is a new generation antifungal preparation for use on the skin with high effectiveness, short treatment period (7 - 14 days), ease of use (once a day) and a much smaller number of mycosis recurrences than with other preparations used so far. The active substance of the preparation - terbinafine, has a fungicidal effect on many types of fungi: against dermatophytes, molds and some dimorphic fungi, and, depending on the species, has a fungicidal or fungistatic effect on yeasts.

Indications

The indication for the use of Terbiderm are fungal infections of the skin, mainly tinea pedis, mycosis of the smooth skin, skin folds of the trunk and lower legs. The preparation is also effective in the treatment of Tinea versicolor and in infections caused by certain yeasts. The most common symptoms of ringworm are: cracked, flaky, reddened skin, sometimes itchy, with a very unpleasant smell of sweating feet. This ailment should be treated as soon as possible after noticing the first symptoms. Untreated athlete's foot develops onto the nail plate, and then the treatment is long, burdensome and expensive, and the infected person becomes a source of infection for others. In order to prevent re-infection (e.g. from underwear, socks, shoes) it is necessary to observe the rules of personal hygiene (regular washing, using your own towel and personal clothes, frequent change of socks, underwear, towels, wearing airy shoes, etc.). These are the basics of preventing fungal skin diseases.

Possible side effects

Like all preparations, terbinafine may cause an undesirable effect. Occasionally, slight redness, burning, itching may occur at the site of application of the cream (discontinuation of the preparation was rarely necessary for this reason). These symptoms should not be confused with hypersensitivity reactions (occurrence of swelling, pain, application site rash), which occur rarely but require discontinuation of the preparation. Use

Terbiderm cream can be used once or twice a day. The usual treatment time is 1 week. The preparation should be used regularly as adherence to the dosing regimen is essential for successful therapy and reduces the risk of reinfection.
