Tobradex eye drops - is a combined preparation for topical application in ophthalmology with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action, which includes a broad-spectrum antibiotic (toramycin) and glucocorticosteroid (dexamethasone). It is prescribed for the prevention of the development of secondary infection in the postoperative period, as well as for inflammatory diseases of the eyes.

Tobradex eye drops is an effective preparation for the treatment of bacterial inflammation of the eyes, which includes a broad-spectrum antibiotic (tobramycin) and glucocorticosteroid (dexamethasone). The mechanism of action of the preparation is due to the properties of its constituent components. Tobramycin has an antimicrobial effect against a large number of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, dexamethasone exhibits anti-inflammatory, desensitizing and anti-allergic effect. The preparation does not cause a slowing of the regeneration of the cornea of the eyes, it can be prescribed in the postoperative period.

Tobradex eye drops has antibacterial local, anti-inflammatory local action.

Indications:

• prevention of postoperative infections;
• blepharitis;
• conjunctivitis;
• keratitis (without epithelial damage).

Contraindications:

• individual hypersensitivity to the components of Tebridex;
• viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (including keratitis caused by Herpes simplex, chicken pox);
• mycobacterial infection of the eyes;
• fungal diseases of the eyes;
• condition after removal of the foreign body of the cornea.

Suggested Use:

In the conjunctival sac.

Eye drops Tebridex: 1-2 drops every 4-6 hours. In the first 24-48 hours the dose can be increased to 1-2 drops every 2 hours.
