Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. Tonginal increases the tone of the sympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system (VNS) in patients with vagotonia and restores the disturbed balance of the activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic parts of the VNS. Along with this, it has a vasoactive effect: it improves blood circulation and blood circulation in the brain by restoring the tone of cerebral vessels and normalizing venous outflow. Normalizes lowered hell. improves cardiac activity and metabolic processes in the myocardium. Reduces the excitability of the vestibular apparatus. reduces the frequency and intensity of seizures, vegetative crises, especially of a vagoinsular nature. increases resistance to psycho-emotional and physical stress. Improves the adaptive capabilities of patients with vestibular or autonomic disorders, arterial hypotension.

Indications

In the complex treatment of vegetative-vascular dystonia of the hypotensive type, diencephalic syndrome, Meyer syndrome. complex treatment of conditions accompanied by autonomic disorders.

Application

Adults and children over the age of 12 years: 10 drops of the preparation in pure form or diluted in 1 tablespoon of water;

children aged 6-12 years: 5-7 drops of the preparation, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water.

Take 3 times a day 30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals.

At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases requiring a rapid decrease in the severity of symptoms, it is possible to take the preparation every 0.5-1 hour for adults and children over the age of 12: 8-10 drops each, children aged 6-12: 3 –5 drops, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water, until the condition improves, but no more than 8 times, then take the preparation 3 times a day.

It is recommended to keep it in the mouth for a while before swallowing to enhance the effectiveness.

The course of treatment is 2-3 months. If necessary, the course can be repeated.

Children. The use of the preparation Tonginal oral drops in children under 6 years of age is not recommended due to insufficient data.

Due to the content of camphor, the preparation is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. ba or other diseases of the respiratory system associated with increased sensitivity of the respiratory tract, children under 2 years of age due to the content of camphor.

Side effects

In exceptional cases, people with hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation may experience allergic reactions. the preparation can cause laryngospasm in infants and children under 2 years of age.

Special instructions

At the beginning of treatment, a slight increase in the severity of the symptoms of the disease (primary reaction) is possible. such a reaction is not harmful and does not require discontinuation of the preparation. If symptoms persist, the preparationshould be discontinued. after the disappearance of the primary reaction, the preparation can be used again. in case of repeated exacerbation of symptoms, the use of the preparation should be discontinued. if symptoms persist for more than 7 days despite treatment or if you feel unwell, it is recommended that you consult a doctor immediately.

Since Tonginal contains plant and other natural components, during storage, a slight change in the taste, transparency or color of the solution may be observed, which does not lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of the preparation.

The preparation Tonginal oral drops should not be used in patients with alcohol dependence, since one dose (5/10 drops) contains 80/160 mg of alcohol.

The alcohol content should also be taken into account when used during pregnancy, lactation, in children and patients with a high risk of liver disease and the risk of epileptic seizures.

Long-term treatment with homeopathic medicines should be supervised by a homeopathic physician, as symptoms may occur that are not listed in the instructions for medical use.

Application during pregnancy or lactation. There are no data on the use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation.
