The medicine "Trikardin Heart Drops" is used for functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia, vegetative neurosis), as a sedative for nervous excitement and insomnia.

Storage

1 ml of drops contains (active substances):

• valerian tincture (tinctura Valerianae) (1: 5) (extractant - ethanol 70%) - 0.34 ml;
• hawthorn tincture (tinctura Сrataegi) (1:10) (extractant - ethanol 70%) - 0.33 ml;
• motherwort tincture (tinctura Leonuri) (1: 5) (extractant - ethanol 70%) - 0.33 ml.

Contraindication

• history of alcoholism;
• simultaneous use of preparations that contain alcohol;
• peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum;
• cirrhosis;
• period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• depression and other disorders accompanied by depression of the central nervous system;
• pronounced arterial hypotension and bradycardia;
• increased sensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Application method

"Tricardin heart drops" are prescribed for adults 20-30 drops 3 times a day before meals. Children aged 12 and over - at the rate of one drop per 1 year of life 3 times a day before meals.

The duration of the treatment course is determined individually for each patient, taking into account the nature, severity of the pathological process, features of the course of the disease, the tolerability of the preparation and the stability of the achieved therapeutic effect.

During the period of use of the preparation, one should refrain from driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms.

Overdose

With a significant excess of the recommended doses, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, bradycardia, a decrease in blood pressure, general weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, decreased acuity of hearing and vision, palpitations, mental agitation, manifestations of hypersensitivity that require discontinuation of the preparation and carrying out symptomatic therapy.

From the side of the nervous system: depression, suppression of emotional reactions, dizziness, drowsiness.
